Japan's DeNA is the newest member of the ESA

Japan-headquartered global game publisher DeNA is now a member of the Entertainment Software Association. DeNA operates the popular Mobage mobile social game platforms, and at approximately 2,100 employees across 11 countries and regions, is one of the largest companies to primarily deal in games (though it has other ventures too, including social networking and e-commerce). DeNA is the 36th ESA member, joining companies as large as Microsoft and Sony and as small Redwood City's Hispanic-focused developer Slang. The ESA is the U.S. association dedicated to serving the business and public affairs of video game companies. The association lobbies for the industry in Washington, has a global anti-piracy program, conducts research, and operates the annual E3 show in Los Angeles.
