John Davison departs from IGN Entertainment

IGN Entertainment senior vice president and publisher John Davison has announced his departure from the company.

Davison will leave IGN on August 29, 2025, to "embark on his next adventure", IGN Entertainment president Yael Prough told GamesIndustry.biz in a statement.

"I want to thank John for all his contributions to IGN Entertainment over the years and wish him all the best in his future endeavors," added Prough.

Davison joined IGN in 2019, following over three decades of experience in the games industry. Davison led Rolling Stone's Glixel, and was vice president of Fortyseven Communications.

He was previously senior vice president and editorial director of Ziff Davis Media from 2003 to 2007, and vice president of programming for GameSpot and Metacritic at CBS Interactive.

IGN Entertainment is the parent company of GamesIndustry.biz.
