Layoffs at GameFly rumored to be significant

Newsbrief: Games-by-mail and games-on-demand service GameFly has laid off as much as one-third of its staff, according to reports. CEO David Hodess told Joystiq that the move would not result in "significant changes" to either its games-by-mail or its digital download businesses, including Direct2Drive. Sources tell Joystiq the layoffs may have numbered 35 in total, and that the number might represent one-third of its total headcount.
