Lesson Learned: How SolarWinds Strengthened its Security Post-Incident

The past two years have taken their toll on many security professionals, but few have been under more pressure than Tim Brown, CISO at SolarWinds. Brown has headed up the cybersecurity outfit at the software firm since 2017 and was at the helm when several US federal government services suffered severe data breaches in 2020, following an attack in which Russian-backed threat actors exploited different software vulnerabilities, including in SolarWinds’ IT monitoring system, Orion.
