Newsbrief: Rod Humble, the CEO for Second Life developer Linden Lab, announced on Facebook that he has left the company. Gamasutra independently verified Humble's Facebook message last week about his departure from Linden: "It's been a great 3 years! All my thanks to my colleagues at Linden Lab and our wonderful customers I wish you the very best for the future and continued success! I am starting up a company to make Art, Entertainment and unusual things! More on that in a few weeks!" Humble is an industry veteran who previously worked on the Sims franchise at Maxis, and EverQuest at Sony Online Entertainment. He has also developed experimental titles on his own.
