London's King.com Hires Former Gamelab Pres, Opens U.S. Office

Casual games company King.com is flexing its muscles following a succesful transition into a leading social gaming publisher, opening new offices and hiring a prominant executive. The company has officially expanded to the United States with the opening of a new San Francisco office. The office will act as the company's hub for North American business development. Heading the new office as King.com's senior business development director for the United States is Jong Woo, former president of casual game company and Diner Dash developer Gamelab. Additionally, the company has also opened a new office in Romania, which it says will house its mobile game development operations. The company recently surpassed one billion gameplay sessions in one month across its titles, it said. Additionally, the company recently entered the top ten developers leaderboard for Facebook, thanks primarily to its success with its Saga series.
