2K Games and developer Hangar 13 really had a pleasant surprise for fans of the Mafia series this year, announcing that all three titles in the critically acclaimed series would be getting re-released on current-gen consoles in the form of Mafia: Trilogy.
What's more, this Mafia: Trilogy would be featuring remastered versions of Mafia II and Mafia III, and a full remake of the first title in the series; Mafia II: Definitive Edition and Mafia III: Definitive Edition were launched a week after the announcement back in May.
At the time of the release of the Mafia II and Mafia III remasters, the developers revealed that players could get access to all three of the games by purchasing Mafia: Trilogy and waiting until Mafia: Definitive Edition is unlocked, or simply purchase these games individually.
The developers have taken their time with Mafia: Definitive Edition, and we are finally a few hours away from the highly anticipated release; depending on your time zone, you may even be experiencing the game in a few minutes from now.
