MAFIA: DEFINITIVE EDITION Has Been Pushed Back And Will Now Release In September, 2K Games Confirms

We may have some sour news for those players who have been eagerly anticipating the release of 2K Games' Mafia: Definitive Edtion, as the developer recently announced that the upcoming title has been pushed back, and will no longer be releasing on the 28th of August as initially intended.

2K Games reveals that the decision to push back Mafia: Definitive Edition's release comes from the COVID-19 pandemic the world is currently going through, although this will give them more time to polish the game, and give players a true definitive edition of this all-time classic.

The good news is that Mafia: Definitive Edition has only been pushed back one month, and players will be able to finally get their hands on the game on Friday the 25th of September — which is actually when the game will become available worldwide.

While this may be some upsetting news for some players out there, most tend to agree on delays being a good thing when it comes to games, especially remakes like Mafia: Definitive Edition, so most players will certainly understand the studio's decision.

Additionally, 2K Games announced that an official extended gameplay reveal of Mafia: Definitive Edition will be streamed on just two weeks on Wednesday the 22nd of July, where Hangar 13 President Haden Blackman will be giving players some details about the highly anticipated remake.
