The Beta for Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics' upcoming MARVEL's Avengers has given players the opportunity to play the highly anticipated title, but it has also helped developers get some much-needed feedback from their consumers.
Even before players got to play the Beta, the game was already getting some mixed reactions, so it is great to see the developers taking notes, and keep polishing details in order to deliver the proper Avengers experience players have been waiting for.
Some users have already managed to get some rather fascinating information thanks to the Beta for MARVEL's Avengers, and the latest bit of news, in regards to this prticular topic, seemingly reveals a lengthy list on characters that have yet to be announced by the developers.
This information was datamined by Reddit user RoboMatters, who revealed the list of characters that MARVEL's Avengers will be including at launch, so none of the post-launch Avengers show up in here. With that said, it is still quite a lengthy list that wil llikely make fans even more excited for the game.
Much like in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, MARVEL's Avengers will be featuring some characters like War Machine, Scarlet Witch, and Vision, as well as some other characters like Mockingbird and Quake — who are actually also part of the MCU via the Agents of SHIELD show.
The King of Wakanda himself, Black Panther, will also be part of the game's roster at launch, as well as the Winter Soldier, Falcon, and even more powerful characters like Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel — which is quite interesting, considering how bare-bones the roster seemed when the game was officially revealed.
Here's the full list of Avengers that will be in MARVEL's Avengers at launch:
- Ant-Man
- Black Panther
- Captain Marvel
- Captain America
- Doctor Strange
- Falcon
- Hawkeye
- Hulk
- Hulkbuster
- Iron-Man
- Kamala
- Kate Bishop
- Mar-Vell
- Mockingbird
- Quake
- Scarlet Witch
- She-Hulk
- Thor
- Vision
- War Machine
- Wasp
- Black Widow
- Winter Soldier
Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have also revealed that other Avengers will be added to the game as post-launch characters, such is the case of Spider-Man, so players should expect the roster to keep on growing once MARVEL's Avengers becomes available in a few more weeks.
Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
MARVEL's Avengers will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia on Friday the 4th of September; PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X release date to be determined.
