MARVEL'S AVENGERS Gets A Brand-New Trailer That Sees The Team Broken; MODOK Revealed As The Villain

For the longest time, players have been eagerly anticipating to see more of Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics' MARVEL's Avengers video game, and the developers recently revealed that they would be sharing a tonne of information about the highly anticipated title today.

During the first MARVEL's Avengers War Table presentation, the developers took the opportunity to reveal a bunch of details bout the upcoming title; revealing new aspects of the game itself such as gameplay, story, villains, and special modes.

First things first, Square Enix shared a special gameplay trailer that sees Thor helping the disbanded Avengers stop a major threat; giving us a look at how the God of Thunder will play, as well as providing some information about the state of the world after the events that took place during A-day.

This presentation also revealed that the main villain in MARVEL's Avengers is none other than MODOK, although this villain's origin story has been slightly changed to fit the game's all-new, and original story — which also lays the groundwork for The Inhumans to make their debut.

One of the modes revealed during the presentation is "Once an Avenger", which allows players to dig deeper into the individual stories of each of the members of the team. As it is to be expected, every member of the Avengers will play differently, so this is definitely adding a lot of variety to combat; making everything feel even more dynamic.

Characters will also be able to buff other players in co-op mode, making other Avengers even more powerful in order to land maximum damage on their enemies. Players will also be able to upgrade these skills, as well as gear that will some special abilities to all of these heroes.

Of course, cosmetics will give players dozens of outfits to make their Avengers look cool, and these have been inspired by MARVEL's long history of comicbooks. What's more, some of these will be unlocked by simply playing the game, but others will require players to complete iconic missions to earn some iconic costumes.

Crystal Dynamics also reveals that more characters, regions, and missions will be added to MARVEL's Avengers in the future, completely free of charge, which is probably the best news to come out of this first MARVEL's Avengers War Table presentation.

The developers at Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics shared the entire presentation, as well as individual videos for the "Once an Avenger" mode, "The MODOK Threat", and the "Co-op Warzones" mode, so be sure to check them out down below, and let us know what you think in the comments section.
