Metro 2033 developer 4A Games plans to open a new studio in Malta, and subsequently move its headquarters to this new location, where it will continue work on new titles in the Metro series. The Ukraine-based studio, which released Metro 2033 in 2010 and follow-up Metro: Last Light in 2013, says that moving to Malta will allow the company to better compete internationally. "Malta offers fantastic incentives for game development," noted 4A Games CEO Dean Sharpe, "and we are confident 4A Games will be able to attract the very best talent from Ukraine, Malta and beyond." The company's Ukraine studio will remain open, although 4A's co-founder Andrew Prokhorov and CTO Oles Shishkovstov will relocate to the new headquarters.
