Digital Eclipse has revealed the next two – and most likely final – MK games of the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection. So, MK fans. Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero and Mortal Kombat: Special Forces will be included in it.
Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero is a platform game that frustrated a lot of players when it came out on the first PlayStation console. The game had a lot of issues. Now the good news here is that the Kollection will have a Rewind feature. As such, you will be able to go rewind time and correct your mistakes. This is a really cool QoL improvement.
Mortal Kombat: Special Forces is perhaps among the worst MK games to date. And while it’s cool to see it in the collection, I won’t really bother with it. Believe me. It’s really bad.
Alongside these two games, Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection will feature the first four main MK games. It will also have some special handheld versions of them.
To be more precise, it will have the Arcade, SNES, Genesis, Gameboy and Game Gear versions of MK1. For MK2, we’ll get the Arcade, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, and 32X versions. Surprisingly enough, we won’t get the Game Gear version. For Mortal Kombat 3, we’ll get the Arcade, SNES and Genesis versions. As for UMK3, we’ll only get the Arcade and SNES versions. Finally, for MK4, we’ll get the Arcade version.
The collection will also have the Game Boy Advance versions of Mortal Kombat Advance, Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, and Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition.
It’s also worth noting that Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection will have online multiplayer with rollback code. It will also have some CRT filters. These filters will be ideal for the 2D MK games. Here is hoping that they will be as advanced as those we’ve seen in Retroarch.
