MotorStorm: Apocalypse Cancelled In Japan

Sony has announced that hectic racer MotorStorm: Apocalypse has been cancelled in Japan, following the March 11 Great East Japan Earthquake. Known as Motorstorm 3 in Japan, the game was originally delayed in the wake of the disaster, as it contains scenes that depict an earthquake tearing various cityscapes apart. However according to Andriasang, Sony provided no clear reason as to the cancellation of the game. Motorstorm is not the first game to be cancelled in Japan after the earthquake. Irem's Disaster Report 4 was cancelled just days after the tradegy, as it was set in the wake of an earthquake, and tasked players with escaping a city as it collapsed. MotorStorm: Apocalypse was released worldwide apart from Japan last month, and garnered positive reviews from critics.
