Neowiz Partners With Xaitment On Upcoming MMO

South Korean online game developer and publisher Neowiz announced today that it has signed a licensing agreement with AI tool provider xaitment, and will be using tools from the company for an upcoming, undisclosed MMO. Neowiz plans to use the xaitMap tools for character pathfinding and movement in the upcoming game, along with the included runtime libraries and graphical editors. In a statement, the company noted that the tools will allow its programmers and designers to more easily collaborate with each other. It was not divulged whether the undisclosed MMO mentioned is Bless, the first game from Neowiz to use Epic's Unreal Engine 3, as revealed last month. Jang-cheol Lee, director of Neowiz, said of the agreement, "Many commercial products can be used to move game characters from point A to point B, but xaitMap provides runtime libraries and tools, making the process much more efficient." "xaitMap is comprehensive, easy to use and already integrates into our existing engine. Coupled with the company's strong support, we’re extremely pleased to be working with xaitment."
