New Lego MMO on the way despite Lego Universe failure

Newsbrief: Age of Conan developer Funcom is developing a massively multiplayer online game based on the Lego Minifigures franchise, despite the closure of a similar game last year. Funcom has signed a license agreement with the Lego Group to create a family-friendly online game based on the Minifigures product line, although no details regarding when we can expect a release have yet been divulged. An MMO based on the Lego brand has already come and gone before -- Lego Universe was developed and released by NetDevil in 2010, but was forced offline last year after failing to convert enough free-to-play users into premium subscribers.
