Newsbrief: LÖVE is a free, open-source Lua-based game-dev framework for 2D games -- and the latest release adds support for Android and iOS development. That brings with it support for accelerometers and touch controls.

Those aren't the only changes; there's a list of improvements in this new 0.10.0 version over at the LÖVE wiki page; these notably also include video playback using the Ogg Theora standard, among many other fixes, tweaks, and additions.
