Nexon publishing Crytek's Warface in Korea, Taiwan

Newsbrief: The Seoul-based Nexon (MapleStory) has signed a deal with Crytek to publish the developer's free-to-play online first-person shooter Warface in Taiwan and South Korea. Crytek has so far revealed deals with three companies in different regions for Warface, including online game operator Tencent for China, and internet services firm Mail.Ru Group for Russia and its neighboring CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries. It has yet to reveal a U.S. publisher. The team-based military shooter was developed by Crytek Kiev, and co-produced by Crytek Seoul and Crytek Frankfurt. Built on the company's CryEngine 3 game engine (which also powered Crysis 2), Warface is the first game from Crytek to adopt the free-to-play model that has become common with MMORPGs and Asian first person shooters.
