Newsbrief: Today Nintendo announced that it prevailed in a lawsuit brought by three patent licensing entities, Technology Properties Limited LLC, Phoenix Digital Solutions LLC and Patriot Scientific Corporation, which sought to prove that its Nintendo DSi and 3DS violate patents. "We are very pleased with the commission’s determination, which confirmed the judge’s finding that Nintendo’s products do not infringe the asserted patent," said Richard Medway, Nintendo of America’s vice president and deputy general counsel, in a statement, noting the company "vigorously defend[s] patent lawsuits." Recently, Nintendo purchased the patents of a company which sued it in 2012 -- against which it also prevailed in court.
