News comes via veteran developer Raph Koster that notable Austin, Texas-based game developer Peter Shelus has passed away.

In Shelus' more than 20-year career, he worked at studios like Origin Systems, Ion Storm, Junction Point, and BioWare Austin, among others, and worked on franchises including Wing Commander, Deus Ex, Thief, and Epic Mickey.

He was most recently senior lead software engineer at BioWare Austin.
