It's that time of the month again! Every month, those who are subscribed to the PlayStation Plus service are gifted a trio of games for no additional cost. For instance, Need for Speed Heat, Granblue Fantasy: Versus, and Toem were available for free to PlayStation Plus subscribers in September. However, they've now been replaced by a new selection for the month of October (via PlayStation Blog).
First up, there's Injustice 2. NetherRealm Studios, the creators of Mortal Kombat, adapt the DC Comics universe for the second time in the sequel to 2013's Injustice: Gods Among Us. A cataclysmic event sets the iconic heroes of the DC universe, such as Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, against each other.
Unlike the first game, Injustice 2 allows players to earn gear and customise your character, meaning that you can essentially build your own super-suits for your favourite characters.
Hot Wheels Unleashed is an arcade racing game developed by Milestone that even allows your to build your own racetracks and share them online or try out those created by other players. Earn new vehicles and play on your own or side by side with classic two-player split-screen. The game also supports up to twelve online players per race.

Superhot is an awesome first-person shooter in which time only moves when you move. You have to scavenge for weapons whilst avoiding incoming fire from enemies as a single stray shot will spell your doom.
These three games are available to download until October 31st at which point they will be replaced by a new set of free games.
