Oculus’ pre-order struggles continued this week, with customers complaining after the company pushed Rift shipping dates back once again.

According to tweets from disgruntled buyers, shipping estimates have been moved back by months, while the shipping date for hardware ordered today has now shifted from July to August.

In the wake of the fresh delays, Oculus has reassured Kickstarter backers that their headsets will be sent out in the near future, explaining via reddit that those devices are being shipped from a different allocation.

“Kickstarter Backers, we're changing your order history to show 'TBD' instead of the date as that date was applicable to the time in which we imported the orders,” read the reddit post.

"We've already fulfilled a large number of the orders and more are being fulfilled on a regular cadence. Your Rifts are from a different allocation."

Oculus’ launch woes began early last week, when the virtual reality outfit revealed that “component shortages” created the supply issues responsible for the rogue pre-orders.

At the time, the company said it would offer free shipping on all pre-orders, international included, as an apology, however a quick glance towards Twitter reveals customers are far from happy.
