1.4% of people have experienced some form of stalking or harassment, according to the report, and of those, 26.6% have been either cyberstalked or inappropriately electronically monitored. 82.6% of those who have been electronically stalked were approached by email, while 35% were stalked by instant messenger. 12% of cyberstalking victims were approached via blogs or bulletin boards, while 9% were mentioned on Internet sites.
