Over 2M Skyrim mods downloaded in a week

Bethesda announced today that more than 2 million mods for its hit RPG The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim have been downloaded less than a week after the game's Creation Kit tools launched. The company released the Skyrim Creation Kit last week, allowing gamers to create custom content for the game and upload it to the Skyrim Workshop via the Steam digital distribution client. It had previously said that the tools would be made available in January, but this date slipped by a month. More than 2,500 free mods have been uploaded to the service by users, with over 2 million downloads recorded since the launch on February 7. As part of the announcement, Bethesda also revealed that data from Steam shows that the average number of hours that a PC gamer plays Skyrim for exceeds 75 hours.
