Overwatch has sold over 35 million copies

Activision and Blizzard have announced that their team-based multiplayer first-person shooter, Overwatch, has sold over 35 million copies. Overwatch came out on May 2016, and it took Blizzard almost one year and a half in order to reach this goal.

To be honest, Blizzard deserves this success as it’s been really supporting this game. Then again, Blizzard was also the studio that introduced loot boxes to the masses. As a result of that, pretty much all developers now implement loot boxes in their games. Sooooo thanks Blizzard? I guess?

What a bunch of misfits and freaks we got here—we love it!

There is nothing more to add here. Will Overwatch hit the 40 or 50 million goal? Now that would be really interesting. Nevertheless, Overwatch is a commercial success for Blizzard and Activision. Now how about you start working on a new RTS Blizzard?
