Warner Bros has confirmed, via the game’s official Discord channel, that Gotham Knights will be locked at 30fps on PS5 and Xbox Series S|X. As such, the only platform which will provide 60fps (and perhaps above) is the PC, making it by default the definitive way to play the game.
The developers claimed that they locked the framerate on consoles due to the types of features the game has. Ironically, and as Warner Bros has showcased in its PC trailer, the PC version can go up to 360fps. So yeah, I’m not really convinced about the reason behind this 30fps lock on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Gotham Knights will release on October 21st. Alongside the unlocked framerate, the PC version will support NVIDIA DLSS 2 and Intel XeSS. You can also find here the game’s PC minimum requirements. And, as we’ve reported, the game will be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech.
