POKÉMON UNITE Introduces Dragonite With Holiday Festival Event Later This Month; Maintenance Later Tonight

Pokémon Unite is a free-to-play online multiplayer arena game that released earlier this year for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. The game released for the Nintendo Switch back in July and iOS and Android devices in September. It's developed by TiMi Studio Group and published by The Pokémon Company.

Pokémon Unite will be holding a Christmas party of sorts with The Holiday Festival event coming later this month — from December 15th to January 16th. This event will feature a variety of festive events, bonuses, cosmetics and more. From tomorrow, Remoat Island and Shivre City will be updated to suit to seasonal theme.

Delibird and Articuno will appear in Shivre City whlie Tauros Beartic, Cubchoo, Stantler, and Panour will appear in Remoat Island. A variety of outfits will be added, including Santa hats for a plethora of Pokémon — including Dragonite, who is a new addition with this update. In other, more pressing, Pokémon Unite news, the game will be down later tonight for maintenance. That is to say that it will be unplayable on all devices from 1PM PT to 11PM PT. This is not only to iron out some technical kinks but also to lay out the red carpet for the aforementioned festive content.
