Pokemon Unite has been named Best Game at Google Play's Best of 2021 awards. Google praised TiMi Studio's strategic team battler for its "dynamic gameplay and cross-platform experience."
Google's annual award ceremony celebrates those Google Play apps and games that have made positive cultural contributions over the past 12 months.
Other notable 2021 winners include Garena Free Fire Max, which nabbed the Users' Choice 2021 award, and League of Legends: Wild Rift and Overboard!, which were honored in the Best Competitive and Best Game Changers categories, respectively.
Elsewhere, Donut County, Bird Alone, My Friend Pedro: Ripe for Revenge, 7 Billion Humans, and Puzzling Peaks EXE were all championed in the Best Indies category.
