Today analyst firm the NPD Group reported monthly video game retail sales for the U.S. market, and buried in its facts and figures was this interesting nugget of information: Current generation PlayStation and Xbox consoles are vastly outperforming their predecessors at this point in their lifespans.
According to a statement from Sony, the PS4 was the best-selling console in the U.S. in September. Microsoft should get a boost this month, however, as Halo 5 is set to ship at the end of the month.
