Newsbrief: The Raspberry Pi, the cheap and tiny computer designed to teach programming to students, has passed 2 million unit sales in just under two years, the company behind the device has announced. That means that sales of the device have accelerated, since it previously managed 1 million units sold a year after launch. It's rather unsurprising, given the unprecedented demand retailers were seeing for the device at launch. Of course, there are plenty of factors that will have helped sales of the Raspberry Pi grow, such as the online distribution store that launched at the end of 2012, and the reveal of Minecraft: Pi Edition.
