The online multiplayer portions of Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto V will be getting updates in the coming days and weeks ahead, Rockstar Games announced.
The "massive" update for Red Dead Online will be arriving this week on Tuesday, July 28. It will include "a new Frontier Pursuit that will introduce players to the secrets of naturalism as part of an all-new Role" as well as a new Outlaw Pass and community-requested features and fixes.
Rockstar hinted that it will also feature additional content that players will discover in the months to come.
Rockstar was a little more vague when talking about the summer update for GTA Online, only saying it will offer up "a fun mix of diverse new content from the game’s massive array of experiences to enjoy." The Moonshiner role -- an extension to the trader -- was introduced in December of last year.
It focused on producing, managing and distributing moonshine.

Rockstar added that more big updates for both games will be coming later this year.
The developer specifically noted "exciting new extensions and augmentations to an existing role in Red Dead Online" and "the biggest ever update for GTA Online, featuring our latest take on Heists in an entirely new location."
The last major update for GTA Online was the Diamond Casino and Resort update last July. It introduced the titular casino that featured gambling minigames and other resort activities. It also set the stage for the Diamond Casino Heist that came later in the year. Assuming Rockstar follows a similar trajectory, it sounds like we can expect a new location to unlock in the coming weeks followed by a larger activity associated with it later this year.
