Report: Google Play exec Eric Chu stepping down

Newsbrief: Eric Chu, head of the Android Developer Ecosystem and part of the Android team for over four years, has stepped down from his position and is now working elsewhere within Google, according to media reports. Chu has most recently been overseeing expansion of the Android Market, recently renamed Google Play, but is now said to be "exploring other options inside Google," reports TechCrunch. Gamasutra has contacted Google for confirmation. The company's director of digital content for Android, Jamie Rosenberg, will now be in charge of apps and games in the online store, although his official title is not changing.
