Just yesterday we reported that Capcom may have already approved a Resident Evil 4 remake, in the same vein of the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 remakes, and that this upcoming project would be releasing at some point in 2022.
Of course, until Capcom officially announces this alleged rumour, it is best to take this information with a pinch of salt. With all that said, there is absolutely no reason why this rumour wouldn't turn out to be legitimate, considering just how well Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 have been received by long-time fans of the series.
This new information about the alleged Resident Evil 4 remake comes from video game industry insider @AestheticGamer1, who reveals some very interesting details about developer studio at M-Two; the studio that hs been reported to be currently working on this rumour remake.
Developer M-Two actually did help with the development of Resident Evil 3, but this new information has revealed that this was actually in order to practice for the Resident Evil 4 remake rather than providing support to the theam that was already working on the project.
This new information also reveals that the project has actually been in development since 2018, and that the that team worked on the Resident Evil 3 remake, and is currently working on the alleged Resident Evil 4 remake, is comprised of former Capcom and PlatinumGames developers.
What's more, it's also been reported that some of the developers from Div 1(the team that worked on the Resident Evil 2 remake), as well as the team that worked on Devil May Cry 5 have also teamed up to develop the Resident Evil 4 remake, which is great news considerign the top quality of both games.
As per usual, we recommend that you take this bit of news with a pinch of salt. Then again, this does sound very plausible, and the fact that more sources are beginning to surface could mean that there's something definitely going on down there at Capcom.
There's a bit more I can add though. M-Two was developed with this project in mind, it was always their plan to remake RE4. RE4 Remake's development began in 2018, and by the time it releases (aiming for 2022, but it may slip back further, who knows) it'll have been in dev for 4+

years. It has a larger team than the previous remakes, M-Two is the lead on this one (they helped a lot with RE3 also, but yeah Red Works were the leads there). RE3 was the first game M-Two worked on as a team, but there are various ex-Capcom and ex-Platinum people who work there

and something to be mentioned is M-Two were helping with RE3 for some practice rather than being as they also were working on RE4. You can bet your ass they were also following reception of RE3 REmake closely to see what worked, didn't work, etc.

The project does have Shinji
have a larger overall team than RE2 or RE3 Remake had and a lot of time conceptualizing it, development started in 2018 but there were talks before that. Parts of Div 1's RE2 Remake team and DMC5 teams are helping with this project.

The bad thing about something like this coming
