Reverb licenses Unreal Engine 3 for its partners

Reverb Publishing (Dungeon Defenders) has licensed Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3, and claims to be the first dedicated digital publisher to secure a site license agreement for the game engine. With this worldwide site license agreement, all of Reverb Publishing's development partners now have access to Unreal Engine 3, full source code for the technology, and Epic's technical support. Reverb releases digital titles on console digital platforms like Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, as well as on Facebook, iOS, Android, and Windows/Mac. It's published independently developed games like Greed Corp and Zen Pinball. It found recent success with Trendy Entertainment's Dungeon Defenders, which has so far sold more than 1 million copies across consoles and PC since releasing on those platforms in October. The game was built on Unreal Engine 3. "This UE3 site license gives Reverb another tool we can add to our menu of services for independent developers," says Katie Morgan, vice president of business development, Reverb Publishing.
