Riot extends its eSports arm with New York office

League of Legends developer Riot Games is solidifying its East Coast eSports operations with a new office in New York City. As reported in the New York Times, Riot has signed a lease for some 5,600 square feet of office space in NYC. The office will serve as a more permanent base of operations for Riot's New York-based eSports arm, a Riot spokesperson explained. "We've already got a handful of people in NYC supporting eSports broadcasting and content," the spokesperson told Gamasutra. "This office is going to be a more permanent space for that team to continue to do their eSports thing." The office marks Riot's third location in North America, after Santa Monica and St. Louis.
