Rockstar Games Head On Possible Future Singleplayer DLC Update For GRAND THEFT AUTO V

Announced earlier this month, 'The Contract' is the newest Grand Theft Auto: Online update and finally brings back characters from the Grand Theft Auto V singleplayer story mode including Franklin Clinton, Lamar Davis, and Chop the Dog.

Since the game first released way back in 2013, Grand Theft Auto V fans have been clamouring for a singleplayer story mode DLC update of some sort — akin to what Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony was to Grand Theft Auto IV.

Recently, Rockstar Games co-studio head Rob Nelson declared (via For The Win) that they're well aware of what the fans want, in reference to a possible singleplayer DLC update.

"I just think having the option for players is a nice thing. It's something that we've heard from players that they wanted more of. It's tough sometimes if you want to just jump in and you've got to wait. So if we can make something work as a solo player, then we should."

Nelson says that he thinks having the choice between playing on your own or with friends makes more sense to them, but to stay posted for future content along the lines of 'The Contract' which itself is more singleplayer oriented whilst being integrated with Grand Theft Auto: Online.

"We often want to incentivize co-op play, but maybe not all the time – especially for this update. There's as strong a narrative as we've had in any Online update since launch. There's a story driving it."
