In the latest postings over the last seven days, Gamasutra's jobs board plays host to roles across the world and in every major discipline, including opportunities at id, Sony Santa Monica, Foundation 9, and more. Each position posted by employers will appear on the main Gamasutra job board, and appear in the site's daily and weekly newsletters, reaching our readers directly. It will also be cross-posted for free across its network of submarket sites, which includes content sites focused on online worlds, cellphone games, 'serious games', independent games and more. Some of the notable jobs posted this week include: - id software: Senior Generalist Programmer: "id Software is looking for a generalist programmer to work as part of a development team on legendary id game properties like Doom and Quake, developing custom tools and technology for the game industry’s most advanced engine technology. The generalist programmer is responsible for co-developing requirements for new systems, engaging in iterative development in C++, writing documentation and supporting the content developers professionally. The generalist programmer should be proactive and prepared to take accountability for the development activities assigned." - Sony Computer Entertainment America - Santa Monica: Senior Environment Artist: "Join the God of War team! Be a part of the most exciting and innovating computer entertainment in North America. Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) markets the PlayStation family of products and develops, publishes, markets, and distributes software for the PS one console, the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment systems and the PlayStation Portable (PSP)." - Foundation 9 - Backbone Entertainment: Producer: "Backbone Entertainment, a leading console developer with serious devotion and expertise in online multiplayer games, is growing! We are currently looking for a top notch producer. As the studio behind wildly successful PSN and XBLA titles like Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and Rock Band 3 for the Wii in partnership with Harmonix, we care intensely about delivering a great player experience. This position is full-time, on-site in the North San Francisco Bay Area and includes a competitive salary, full benefits, and profit sharing."
