Russian Warface publisher Mail.Ru promotes CEO to chairman role

Newsbrief: Mail.Ru, the Russian company which is publishing Crytek's free-to-play Warface in its home country, is continuing to shuffle its management team around with a new chairman of the board. Mail.Ru Games' managing director Alexander Goldybin stepped down in December, and was replaced by global publishing director Ilya Mamontov while the company's head of operations Roman Golovatchev was also promoted to chief operating officer and deputy CEO. Parent company Mail.Ru has now announced that Yuri Milner has stepped down as chairman of the board of directors for the whole group, while CEO Dmitry Grishin has been elected as the new chairman of the board, while retaining his CEO role. Milner has moved on to a position at investment firm Digital Sky Technologies, which has invested in the likes of Zynga and Facebook.
