Coffee Stain Studios has announced that its latest PC game, Satisfactory, has sold 500K copies on the Epic Games Store. And while the game is currently available exclusively on Epic’s store, it is the most successful game launch for Coffee Stain Studios so far.
Like most Epic Games Store exclusive games, Satisfactory was criticized by a number of PC gamers for abandoning all other stores. Still, and despite that backlash, it appears that the game has sold well. Now whether this is a sign for more Epic Games Store exclusivities remains a mystery.
Satisfactory is a first-person open-world factory building game with a dash of exploration and combat. In this game, players can chart and exploit an alien planet, battle alien lifeforms, create multi-story factories, enter conveyor belt heaven, automating vehicles, and researching new technologies.
It’s also worth noting that the game is currently in Early Access and will not release for at least one year.
