SEGA releases 8-Bit Bayonetta game on Steam as an April’s Fools joke

It’s no secret that a lot of gamers want the two Bayonetta games on the PC. And while this may not happen anytime soon, SEGA released an 8-bit 2D version of it on Steam as an April’s Fools joke.

In this free game, you simply jump, double jump, and shoot enemies for the high score. You can’t even move your character. In other words, don’t expect anything fancy.

But hey, at least we got a Bayonetta game on the PC, right? Right?

Anyway, those interested can download this free game from here.

In related news, a new countdown timer appeared on SEGA’s official website that ends in almost ten days. From the looks of it, this is related to Bayonetta (a re-release on current-gen platforms perhaps?). However, we don’t know whether this is another April’s Fools joke or not, so take it with a grain of salt.

Have fun!
