With Thanksgiving just a little over a week away, Sony has finally announced its plans for Black Friday 2024. The deals will begin on November 22nd and run through December 2nd, offering discounts on PlayStation gmaes, hardware, accessories, and more across.
Sony launched an official PlayStation Black Friday site, but the deals won't be fully revealed until November 22nd. You'll also be able to find discounts across Sony's online store as well as participating retailers.
PlayStation's Direct Black Friday 2024 Deals
Unfortunately, we don't have specific sale prices, but Sony promises savings up to 25% on DualSense controllers for the PS5. It looks like there will be an assortment of colors available at a discount, but we don't have the specifics. A DualSense Wireless Controller typically sells for $79.99 so a 25% discount would mean you could get one for around $59.99.
Sony also made mention of "PlayStation 5 console offerings" including the previously leaked PS5 console – Fortnite Cobalt Star Bundle. A promotional image mentions savings up to 40% on "PlayStation VR2, DualSense wireless controllers, Pulse Elite wireless headsets, Pulse Explore wireless earbuds, PS5 console covers, and select PS5, PS4, and PC titles."
An earlier leak suggested Sony will be offering a $70 price reduction on PS5 Slim consoles. If that's accurate, the base PS5 Slim Disc-Free console will sell for $379.99.
Black Friday Deals at Participating Retailers

Again, we don't have specifics here, but Sony did confirm global participating retailers will be offering deals on "PS5 consoles, PlayStation VR2, games, and PS5 accessories including DualSense wireless controllers, Pulse Elite wireless headset, Pulse Explore wireless earbuds." They tell us to check local retailers for details on seasonal PlayStation promotions.
PlayStation Plus Black Friday Discount
In the past, it would be possible to find a year-long PlayStation Plus subscription for half price. This year, Sony's Black Friday Promotion will offer up to 30% off on a 12-month membership.
Current PlayStation Plus Essential members can save 25% on the remainder of their membership when upgrading a current plan to PlayStation Plus Extra, or save 30% when upgrading from PlayStation Plus Extra to PlayStation Plus Premium/Deluxe.
Sony is the last of the big three gaming companies to announce its Black Friday deals. Both Microsoft and Nintendo have already revealed their sales. Microsoft is offering $50 off select Xbox Series X|S consoles and thousands of discounted digital games. Nintendo is also discounting some of its biggest blockbuster games and even introducing a few discounted Nintendo Switch bundles.
