Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida has publicly apologized for the troubled launch of Evolution Studios' PlayStation 4 racing game Driveclub and said there is no clear timetable for when the title's ongoing server issues will be resolved. "We have deployed additional engineering resources to help resolve the remaining issues as soon as possible," he wrote in a Facebook post that was spotted by NeoGAF users. "Unfortunately, the time frames required to roll out the fully connected experience will be longer than anticipated and we do not have an exact time frame for when they will be resolved." Yoshida added that the company was postponing the release of the limited, free version of Driveclub it had promised to its PlayStation Plus subscribers "until further notice" because "we are currently not confident that we can guarantee the best online experience" in the wake of an influx of new players. This is notable because it's now been almost a month since the game was launched; shortly thereafter the servers buckled and Sony was forced to hold back digital copies of Driveclub from its PlayStation Plus users. Evolution Studio had initially expected to release the game late last year, but ultimately delayed the launch until October 2014.
