Newsbrief: Lococycle, Splosion Man, and The Maw developer Twisted Pixel has split from Microsoft after four years.

Microsoft Studios acquired the Texas-based indie outfit back in 2011, however, according to Twisted Pixel's Josh Bear, the team have always been open about the fact that they might part ways if the timing was right.

Speaking to IGN, who broke the news, Bill Muehl, Twisted Pixel's executive producer, revealed the transition "has been in the works for a few months," and that the team hope to work with Microsoft again in the future.
