SQUARE ENIX Will Not Be Hosting An Online Event In June Of This Year, Sources Have Revealed

In March of this year, rumours claimed that this year's E3 would be cancelled on account of the worldwide Coronavirus pandemic.

This was confirmed by the ESA within a day after the rumours started doign the rounds, in which the organisation revealed that the event had been officially cancelled.

While this was disappointing news for some players out there, this was the best decision that the ESA could've made, since risking the lives of attendees was definitely not worth all the trouble.

Triple-A and independent developers were also unsurprisingly supportive of this decision, revealing that they would think of other ways to connect with audiences and unveil upcoming projects in a way that it is safe for everybody.

Today we have some sour news for players, as Bloomberg tech reporter Takashi Mochizuki — who has always proven to be a refutable soruce — claims that Square Enix will not be holding an online presentation in June of this year, when E3 2020 was supposed to take place.

According to Mochizuki, developers at Square Enix have not been able to work appropriately due to the Coronavirus.

The good news is that Square Enix will be announcing games on individual basis, so players will hopefulyl still get information on upcoming titles like the highly anticipated Marvel's Avengers.
