After all of the waiting some fans of classic beat 'em up games have had to endure, Streets of Rage 4 — the latest entry in the long-running, and popular beat' em up series — was finally released today for home consoles and PC.
Streets of Rage 4 is bringing with it the classic action that made the series, as well as the beat 'em up genre, so popular during the Golden Age of arcade video games — and the developers made sure to keep all of those elements intact without taking too many liberties.
The game is developed by the same group of developers that successfully revived the Wonder Boy series with a remaster of Wonder Boy 3: The Dragon's Trap, and the beautiful hand-drawn art style is one of things that both games have in common; making them stand out, in a good way, from other remasters out there.
Now that Streets of Rage 4 has finally become available for players to enjoy, the developers have released an aciton-packed, and nostalgia-inducing launch trailer that not only shows off everything that this new entry in the series is offering, but also celebrates both the Streets of Rage series and the beat 'em up genre.
