Nintendo confirming that Super Mario 3D All-Stars was a real thing is one probably one of the best news they could've given fans. The game is including Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy; all in one package, and releasing next week for everybody to experience.
Super Mario Galaxy, very in particular, has had fans wondering how the game will be played, since the game originally came out for the Nintendo Wii and heavily relied on motion controls to be played; unlike Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine.
Nintendo then revealed that Super Mario Galaxy for the Nintendo Switch can also be played in Handheld Mode and Tabletop Mode, but they didn't really explain how this would work, and that the game supports the Pro controller; leading some to believe that gyro controls could be used to move the cursor.
While we still don't know how the cursor will work, we have new information that has been recently shared by Nintendo Japan's Twitter account, which confirms that Super Mario Galaxy will allow players to push the Y button in order to perform Mario's Spin attack.
On the Nintendo Wii, players needed to shake either of the Nunchucks in order to do the Spin attack, and this particular move being mapped to a button will make it easier for players who don't enjoy motion controls, as well as those who are playing in Handheld Mode, or on a Nintendo Switch Lite; in short, everyone can play the game without needing a pair of Joy-Con controllers.
