SUPER MARIO BROS. 35TH ANNIVERSARY Twitter Account Has Been Possibly Discovered By Fans

A keen-eyed user by the name of Júlio Rodrigo, spotted something quite interesting in regards to Nintendo Japan's Twitter acount, Video Games Chronicle reports. According to this information, Nintendo's Twitter account for the Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary has been discovered, although it still doesn't feature any content.

This Twitter account, which can be found under the @SuperMario35th moniker, has the same recovery e-mail that Nintendo.co.jp has used for other Nintendo-managed accounts — which could prove that this account is real, although there is one problem: the account's related email is mostly redacted, so we can't be sure if it is actually owned by Nintendo.

Here's where things get a little bit more interesting, though, since this Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Twitter account was registered in March of this year, which is at the same time rumours about remasters of the 3D Super Mario Bros. games began to spread around the web.

As a refresher, the rumour claimed that Nintendo was working on remasters of the 3D Super Mario Bros. games — namely Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and both entries in the critically acclaimed Super Mario Galaxy series — although nothing has been confirmed by Nintendo as of yet.

Video Games Chronicle also notes that the Japanese Twitter accounts for the Super Smash Bros. and Splatoon series are also registered to an e-mail that looks quite similar to the alleged Super Mario 35th Anniversary account. Twitter does not allow duplicate accounts on their platform, so the e-mail may look similar, but it isn't exactly the same, so the number of characters will obviously vary.
