Teamfight Tactics: Reckoning, the fifth set for Riot Games' auto-battler is on track to go live with patch 11.9 on April 28. In the latest developer update, TFT lead gameplay designer Stephen "Mortdog" Mortimer, shared some all-new details about Set 5, which will be themed as a battle between good versus evil, chaos versus order, and light versus dark.
"In TFT: Reckoning, you'll be able to take part in the battle between these two epic forces and determine the fate of the world," Mortimer teased.
As is the case with every new set, TFT: Reckoning will introduce new champions, origins, and gameplay mechanics.
While the full details of Set 5 are still being kept under wraps, he did share a few teasers.
One of the new origins is Draconic. Each round you play with the Draconic trait active will add an egg to your bench.
After a few rounds, this egg will hatch into either more Draconic champions or "something else," he teased.
Darius and Garen will also be returning as the "God Kings" who are extra powerful against opposing forces.
Teemo is also coming back with a special new mechanic. He's as powerful as a Legendary 5-cost but with a catch; he is free in the shop, but you'll have to pay with HP if you want to recruit him.
Lastly, Draven -- a launch set favorite -- will also be returning.
More details about Teamfight Tactics: Reckoning will likely come in the next few weeks as we get closer to the launch date. In the meantime, it's possible the new set could hit the PBE test servers a bit earlier.
