THE DARK PICTURES: LITTLE HOPE - Watch As The Developers Play Through The Game In Shared Story Mode

Anyone who's played The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan will be able to tell you just how scary the game is, which is all thanks to the developers at Supermassive Games and their ability to tell a compelling story chock-full of jump scares, but that's not the only aspect that makes the game so good.

Supermassive Games set out to deliver a game that is also a cinematic experience, and The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan does exactly that, while also giving players the chance to make decisions that will constantly change the game's story; this right here, is one of the reasons why the game has so much replay value.

Earlier this year, Supermassive Games and Bandai Namco announced The Dark Pictures: Little Hope, which is a direct sequel to Man of Meda, although this time it would be featuring a new cast of characters, and a brand-new, albeit as equally scary, setting.

The Dark Pictures: Little Hope is expected to bring back pretty much all of the elements that made the first game such a great horror title, including the unique Shared Story Mode — which, as the name aptly suggests — allows players to simultaneously play the game with their friends.

Shared Story Mode gives players the chance to enjoy the game in couch co-op in split-screen, which is a feature that most games developers have, unfortunately, completely forgotten about in recent years.

The developers have even gone as far as including something they call Movie Night Mode, which is a couch co-op mode that allows players to pass the controller and play the game with up to five friends.

Bandai Namco has recently released a new gameplay video for The Dark Pictures: Little Hope, which focuses entirely on this Shared Story Mode, and that sees the developers themselves playing through the game, and giving players a better idea of what to expect from the game's multiplayer aspect.

Have a look:

Little Hope is the second game in The Dark Pictures Anthology. Trapped and isolated in the abandoned town of Little Hope, 4 college students and their professor must escape the nightmarish apparitions that relentlessly pursue them through an impenetrable fog.

The Dark Pictures: Little Hope is expected to release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Friday the 30th of October.
