With Twitch's dominance in the PC and console game streaming space, it's unsurprising that the company has been delving into the potential for streaming mobile games -- and it may be closer than you think. Today the company announced the Twitch Mobile Software Development Kit, which will soon enable live broadcasting, capturing and archiving of mobile games. Apart from broadcasting and recording game footage, the Twitch Mobile SDK will offer the ability to capture video from your smartphone or tablet's front camera while you play, while also recording audio from an internal or external microphone. The company says that its current Twitch app, which allows mobile users to watch PC and console streams, has been downloaded more than 10 million times, evenly split across iOS and Android. More details on when the SDK will be released to developers are due to be unveiled soon. You can check out the Twitch dev blog for more information. This news may well be bad for companies like Everyplay and Kamcord, who have been looking to corner the mobile game video sharing market over the last couple of years.
