Ubisoft Offers $10K In Child Of Eden Game Dev Contest

Ubisoft and online gaming portal Kongregate have announced a game development contest inspired by the upcoming Child of Eden, with game director Tetsuya Mizuguchi (also of Rez) acting as judge. The Experience the Music contest asks participants to "electrify the senses" by "creating a game that synchronizes music and unique gameplay." The grand prize up for stake is $10,000, with 2nd and 3rd place prizes at $3,000 and $2,000, respectively. The top 25 entries -- as voted on by the Kongregate community -- will be put through a final round of judging by Mizuguchi and GameSpot editor in chief Ricardo Torres. Entries are being accepted starting today, with a final submission deadline of June 21. More information, and additional rules of entry, are available at the official contest page.
